CRL OP No. 7437 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 Rs.3,00,000/- from him. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that there are 14 previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. I have given my anxious consideration to the submissions made by the
learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 6.From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), it is seen that the petitioner has got 14 previous cases to his credit and if the petitioner is enlarged on anticipatory bail, he may be emboldened to indulge in similar offences in future without fear of law. Considering the gravity of the allegations, and taking into consideration of consequences of granting anticipatory bail in such nature of the offence in the society at large, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
