The allegation against the petitioner is that, on the false promise of marriage, he had sexual intercourse with the defacto complainant and thereafter married another woman. It is further alleged that he forcibly compelled the defacto complainant to undergo miscarriage. Hence, the case. 3. There is no representation for the petitioner. 4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution’s case and, on instructions, submitted that the investigation is still pending. Hence, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5. Considering the serious nature of the allegations and the fact that the FIR was registered on 04.03.2026 and the investigation is at preliminary stage, this Court is of the firm view, that this is not an appropriate stage to grant anticipatory bail at this stage. 6.
