The present intra-court appeal is directed against the order of the learned Single Judge dated 01.04.2026 in WPMS/719/2026, whereby the writ petition filed by respondent no. 7, challenging an order dated 18.03.2026 passed by District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, removing her from the post of Gram Pradhan, Village Bhogpur, Jaspur, District Udham Singh Nagar, was allowed and the authorities were directed to hold fresh proceedings strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj (Removal of Pradhans, Up- Pradhans and Members) Enquiry Rules, 1997. 1 UKHC010072382026 2026:UHC:6506-DB 2. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that, in pursuance of the said order, the authorities have already initiated fresh proceedings and, therefore, he has instructions not to press the instant appeal on merits, but to only pray for a direction to the authorities to conclude the proceedings, now initiated against respondent no. 7, within a stipulated time frame. 3. Having regard to the nature of the prayer made, we dispose of the instant appeal by providing that the proceedings, as may have been initiated against respondent no. 7, in consequence of the liberty granted by the learned Single Judge, be concluded expeditiously. In all other respects, the order of the learned Single Judge is maintained. 4. The appeal is disposed of accordingly. 5.
