This Court in batch of writ petitions passed order on 16.12.2024 as under :- “Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for respective parties, these petitions at this juncture are disposed of directing respondent No.1 to take decision on recommendation made by respondent No. 3/Registrar of the University dated 15/05/2023 with respect to granting benefit of 7th Pay Scale in pension payable to the petitioners, preferably within a period 120 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The authority concerned is also directed to keep in mind the judgment passed by the co-ordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(S) No. 196/2011, parties being Santosh Kumar Upadhyay & Others vs. State of Chhattisgarh and Others.” 2. Mr. Amrito Das, Advocate would submit that due to unavoidable circumstances, the representations made by the petitioners could not be decided within 120 days. He would submit that the finance department has accorded sanction on 19.01.2026 and appropriate steps/decision would be taken by the department at the earliest. He would contend that the University has also granted its proposal to share equal financial burden, 7 which has been accepted by the department. 3. Heard. 4. Taking into consideration the subsequent development and the contention made by Mr. Amrito Das, Advocate, these contempt petitions, at this juncture, are disposed of. This Court hope and trust that appropriate decision shall be taken by the respondent herein at the earliest. 5. Further presence of Dr. S. Bharthi Dasan is hereby dispensed with. 6.
