The instant bail application has been preferred by the petitioner for grant of regular bail for the offences registered under Sections 111(1), 111(4), 308(1), 308(5), 308(6), 109, 326(g), 61, 3(5) of BNS and under Section 27 of the Arms Act in connection with Chandwa PS Case No. 161 of 2025 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 26 of 2026. In this case cognizance has been taken under Sections 111(4), 308(5), 308(6), 109, 326(g), 61, 3(5) of BNS and under Section 27 of the Arms Act. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. It is submitted that case relates to extortion however the petitioner is not named in the FIR and no Test Identification Parade was conducted in this case. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that co-accused, namely, Sagar Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Ganjhu in BA No. 10459 of 2025 with BA No. 10763 of 2025, Shankar Kumar Mahto in BA No. 1684 of 2026, Baleshwar Kumar @ Satya in BA No. 961 of 2026 and Sonu Paswan in BA No. 459 of 2026 have been granted bail vide orders dated 17.02.2026, 12.03.2026, 27.02.2026 and 25.02.2026 respectively by this Court and the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court and the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 28.11.2025. As such, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 2026:JHHC:7802 2 the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. 4. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner. 5. Having regard to the fact the co-accused in BA No. 10459 of 2025 with BA No. 10763 of 2025, BA No. 1684 of 2026, BA No. 961 of 2026 and BA No. 459 of 2026 have been granted bail by this Court and the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M, Latehar in connection with Chandwa PS Case No. 161 of 2025 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 26 of 2026. 6. It is made clear that the petitioner shall appear on each and every date before the learned trial Court and he shall not threaten any witness and shall co-operate in trial and if any adverse report will come against the above-named petitioner, learned trial Court shall be at liberty to cancel the bail of the above-named petitioner. 7.
