JUSTICE LALITHA KANNEGANTI ORAL ORDER The present writ petition is filed seeking the following prayers: "WHEREFORE, the above named petitioner most respectfully prays for the following reiefs:- (a) ISSUE a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, setting aside/quashing the impugned award dated, 04.01.2018 passed by the Hon'ble Lok-Adalat in C.C. No.18966/2016, on the file of the Hon'ble XXI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bangalore (ANNEXURE-A). (b) GRANT such other and further relief that this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the circumstances of this case, in the interest of justice and equity." 2. This writ petition is of the year 2022. From 2022 onwards, this matter has come up several occasions before this Court. The order dated 03.02.2026, reveals that none appeared even though the matter is called in the second session. 3. On 16.02.2026, at the request of the learned counsel, the matter was adjourned and listed on 23.02.2026. On 23.02.2026 also, none appeared for the parties even though the matter was called in the second session. Hence, the matter was directed to be listed on 03.03.2026 subject to payment of - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:13352 WP No. 1071 of 2022 cost of Rs.2,000/- payable to the High Court Legal Services Committee. 4. On 03.03.2026, when the matter was listed before the Court, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and there was nothing on record to show that the cost of Rs.2,000/- had been paid. Hence, the matter was directed to be listed under the caption ‘for dismissal’ today. 5. Today also, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, it appears that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the matter, which has been pending since 2022. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
