In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita in connection with Kaliachak Police Station Case No. 947 of 2025 dated 05.06.2025 under Sections 3 /4 of the Explosive Substance Act. And In the matter of: Tipu Sultan. …. Petitioner
Mr. Abhishek Chakraborty Mr. Musharaf Alam Sheikh Mr. Sarfaraz Nawaj
…for the petitioner Mr. Sanjay Banerjee Mrs. Rituparna Saha
…for the State
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is only the co-owner of the property in question. He was not present at the time of bomb blast.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the seizure list and the statements of the local witnesses.
Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.
Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
The presence of the I.O. is noted and is dispensed with.
