1. The petitioner, a widowed daughter of a former employee, seeks family pension.
2. Mr. S. P. Pahari, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that all requisite documents have been filed by the petitioner to the Principal of the college, who has thereafter forwarded the same to the respondent no. 4.
3. However, Mr. Avijit Sarkar, learned counsel for the State- respondents disputes the seal, which is the evidence of receipt of the documents from the Principal.
4. Without getting into these questions, I direct the petitioner to submit the documents as claimed by the respondent no.4, by his e-mail of January 21, 2026 to him directly by February 10, 2026. The respondent no.4 will consider all such documents and dispose of the request of the
2 petitioner regarding family pension by February 25, 2026 in light of the notification dated January 25, 2024. After disposing of the request, the respondent no.4 will intimate the petitioner by March 5, 2026.
5. With the afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
6. There shall be no order as to costs.
7. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
