Shafy, Advocate for respondent no. 2 & 3. 4. According to petitioner, he has been appointed as Chairman of a committee of Mutawalli, which is managing the various waqf properties. In this writ petition, he has alleged that various waqf properties in District Dehradun have been illegally transferred. By means of this writ petition, he has sought the following relief:- “i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to constitute a committee consisting of revenue officials, Nagar Nigam Dehradun, officials of the Waqf Board and further be pleased to direct them to initiate an independent inquiry into the sale and purchase of Waqf property pertaining to Waqf No.4,5, 166, 201, 247, 248, 251, 256, 281 and submit the periodical inquiry reports of the committee before this Hon'ble Court and further be pleased to direct the S.S.P. Dehradun to lodge the First UKHC010130202026 2026:UHC:6438 Information Report and to take legal action against the culprits involved in the sale and purchase of Waqf property.” 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing for a while confines his prayer and submits that petitioner has made a representation to Secretary, Department of Minority Welfare, who may be directed to take decision thereupon. The representation is on record as Annexure-9 to the writ petition and the same was allegedly made on 17.06.2026. 6. Having regard to the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned Secretary to take decision on the representation, after hearing all persons who are likely to be affected and also the Uttarakhand Waqf Board, within six months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
