Konwar, the learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. P. Doley, the learned counsel appearing for applicant. Also heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam representing Opposite Party No.2. This is an application praying for suspension of sentence and for allowing the applicant to go on bail. I have gone through the judgment and have also considered the submission made by the learned counsels for both sides. It is hereby directed that the sentence imposed upon the applicant Sri Munin Saikia by the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (S), Sivasagar in N.I. Case No.93/2024 affirmed by the judgment dated 07.04.2026 passed by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, FTC, Sivasagar in Criminal Appeal No.46(4)/2025 shall remain stayed till disposal of the connected criminal revision petition. The applicant Sri Munin Saikia is also allowed to go on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the said court i.e. learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (S), Sivasagar.
