Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. T. Gunapriya, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the petitioner ; Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appeared on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and Mr. S. Biswajit Meitei, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. W. Sanatomba, learned counsel appeared on behalf of respondent No. 5. [2] The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for quashing and setting aside the impugned notice dated 21- 08-2026 issued by the respondent No. 5. By the said impugned notice, applications were invited for filling up of one post of un- approved Primary Teacher in the Khomdram Leikai L.P. School (Aided). [4] Respondent No. 5 has filed an application registered as MC(WP(C)) No. 706 of 2026. In paragraph No. 5 of the said application, it has been stated as under : “That it is respectfully submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition and specially when there is an interim stay of this Hon’ble Court, the school authority craves the leave of this Hon’ble Court to withdraw the vacancy notice dated 21-08-2026 for further appropriate action as the earlier termination of the petitioner as well as another incumbent have been withdrawn/cancelled. Further the Applicant craves leave of this Hon’ble Court for convening a SMC meeting for cancelling the vacancy notice dated 21- 08-2026 taken in the 8th sitting of the SMC dated 21- 08-2026.” [5] Mr. S. Biswajit, learned senior counsel appearing for respondent No. 5 submitted that in view of the statement made in paragraph No. 5 of the MC(WP(C)) No. 706 of 2026, a prayer has been made to allow the applicant to convene SMC meeting for cancellation of the vacancy notice dated 21-08-2026 and that the respondent No. 5 will thereafter issue appropriate order for cancellation of the said notice. The learned senior counsel further submitted that in view of the statement made above, the present petition can be closed. [7] Recording the submission advanced by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondent No. 5, the present writ petition as well as the connected two applications are hereby closed.
