(Oral) By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing/setting aside the impugned order dated 30-4-2026 passed by respondent no. 3 (Annexure No.1, page No.15-16), whereby the petitioner’s representation dated 8.4.2026 has been rejected/not favourably decided; (b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to complete the selection process and conduct the interview for the post of Lecturer Sanskrit in Janta Inter College, Kunajkhal, Pauri Garhwal pursuant to advertisement No.8/2015-16 dated 6.12.2015, on the basis of the existing merit list dated 9.9.2016, in terms of the pre-amended Uttarakhand School Education Regulations, 2009, within such time-frame as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit to fix; 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner applied for the post of Lecturer (Sanskrit) in the non-government aided institute managed by respondent No.4, pursuant to advertisement dated 06.12.2015. He submits that petitioner claims appointment pursuant to the selection held under the aforesaid advertisement issued in 2015 only on the ground that he was on the top of the select list. 3. It is contended by learned counsel for UKHC010128792026 2026:UHC:6336 2 petitioner that selection process has yet not been completed. 4. It is quite impossible to comprehend that the selection process would continue since 2015 to till date, particularly, when there is a clear provision in Regulation 10 (dd) and Regulation 21 of Chapter-2 of the Uttarakhand School Education Regulations, 2009 (as amended up to date), whereby, it is provided that the selection should be completed within a period of three months from the date of issuance of the advertisement.
