Pursuant to order dated 14.01.2026, the learned Secretary, Jharkhand High Court Legal Services Committee has sent Letter No. 192/2026 dated 27.01.2026 enclosing the letter of Secretary, DLSA, Sahibganj regarding willingness of convict namely, Abdul Khalak Ansari @ Abdul Khalak @ Khalak in Cr. Appeal (S.J.) No. 32 of 2025 and also the report of Sri Revindra Kumar Srivastava, Dy. Chief L.A.D.C., Sahibganj. 3. Although, the learned Secretary, JHALSA has not stated about the report submitted by the Secretary, DLSA, Sahibganj and has simply forwarded the report as a clerk instead of an officer and 2026:JHHC:3111 2 even Sri Bishwanath Bhagat, learned Secretary, DLSA, Sahibganj has forwarded his letter like a clerk. 4. The Secretary, JHCLSC should have given the proper willingness report of the appellant instead of forwarding the report of the Secretary, DLSA, Sahibganj and Dy. Chief L.A.D.C., Sahibganj. 5. From perusal of report sent vide Letter No. 82/DLSA/2026 dated 17.01.2026 by Mr. Bishwanath Bhagat, the Secretary, DLSA, Sahibganj that he has also forwarded the report to the Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee (HCLSC), Ranchi by enclosing the report of the Dy. Chief L.A.D.C., Sahibganj. 6. From perusal of report submitted by Dy. Chief L.A.D.C., Sahibganj on 17.01.2026 addressed to the Secretary, DLSA, Sahibganj, it would appear that the convict namely, Abdul Khalak Ansari @ Abdul Khalak @ Khalak (i.e. the appellant) has filed application before him for not taking further step in this Criminal Appeal (SJ) No. 32 of 2025 and for which he has also filed an affidavit dated 17.01.2026 sworn before Oath Commissioner, Civil Courts, Sahibganj. 7. From perusal of affidavit dated 17.01.2026 sworn by the convict namely, Abdul Khalak Ansari @ Abdul Khalak @ Khalak 2026:JHHC:3111 3 before Sri Ravindra Kumar Srivastava, Dy. Chief L.A.D.C., Sahibganj, it appears that he has completed his sentence during pendency of this Criminal Appeal and he has already been released from the jail and as such, he does not want to pursue the instant Criminal Appeal (S.J.) No. 32 of 2025. 8. Under the circumstances, this Criminal Appeal (S.J.) No. 32 of 2025 is, hereby, dismissed as not pressed on behalf of the appellant, as he has decided not to pursue this Criminal Appeal. 9.
