Bora, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appears for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 whereby the petitioner, Umananda Das @ Arup Das has Page No.# 2/2 prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Hajo P.S. Case No.238/2026 registered under Sections 118(2)/109 of BNS, 2023. 3. The brief allegation of the case is that the petitioner, because of a quarrel, assaulted the victim with a ‘katari’ as a result of which he sustained serious injuries. 4. The case diary as called for has been received. But the medical report is not available. However, on a perusal of the statement of the victim himself, it does not appear that any grievous injury was caused. 5. Having regard to the above, as well as the period of detention undergone by the petitioner, prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, it is directed that the petitioner is released on bail bond of ₹50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) only with two sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Eleka Magistrate/Jurisdictional Court in connection with Hajo P.S. Case No.238/2026. 6. Send back the case dairy. 7. Accordingly, the bail application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
