P.P. …...... 04/ 20.03.2026: This bail application has been filed under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 103(1)/ 109 of BNS. 2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order. 3. Learned AddI. P.P. opposes the prayer for bail. 4. The prosecution story as appears from the F.I.R. is that petitioner comes to the informant’s house armed with tangi and demanded water from his daughter-in-law, namely, Reena Devi and when Reena Devi gave him water, but he assaulted twice on the neck of Reena Devi, thereafter she fell down and died on the spot. Petitioner fled away from the place of occurrence. 5. In the case diary, the witnesses in paragraph Nos.35, 36 and 37 have clearly stated that how this petitioner has attacked with an axe, caused injury, later on attacked Rina Devi, which resulted in her death. The postmortem report also supports the prosecution story as the death was caused by the impact by sharp cut object. 6. Considering the aforesaid fact and materials available on record in the case diary, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in connection with Kurumgarh P.S. Case No.11 of 2025, pending in the Court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Gumla, stands rejected. 7.
