The petitioner, above-named, who is in custody since 02.08.2025 in connection with Patratu P.S. Case No. 197 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 305(b), 317(4), 317 (5) of the BNS, 2023 has prayed for regular bail. As per the prosecution case, it is alleged that the petitioner / accused was apprehended with the stolen motorcycle soon after the incident on the very same day by the Police Patrolling party. He has a criminal antecedent and is also involved in another case. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that the alleged offence is triable by the Magistrate and he is in custody for more than six months. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. It is submitted that there is direct and specific allegation against him.
