Bhuyan, learned counsel, appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B. Talukdar, learned Standing Counsel, Department of School Education. 2. As consented to by the learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final consideration at the motion stage itself. 3. The petitioner on conclusion of a Departmental proceeding instituted against her was imposed with a penalty of dismissal from service vide order dated 06.01.2026, issued by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education. The petitioner, thereafter, preferred an appeal before the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, on 05.02.2026, followed by a appeal so preferred before the Governor of Assam, on 24.02.2026. It is the specific case of the petitioner that the said appeal is presently pending consideration before the Appellate Authority. 4. Mr. K. Bhuyan, learned counsel, for the petitioner prays that a direction be issued to the Appellate Authority to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a specified time frame. 5. Mr. B. Talukdar, learned Standing Counsel, Department of School Page No.# 3/3 Education, submits that he has no objection to the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 6. In view of the above position, without entering into the merit of the matter, this Court directs the Appellate Authority to consider and dispose of the appeals preferred by the petitioner expeditiously. The Appellate Authority shall dispose of the said appeal within a period of 02 (two) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 7. To facilitate an early disposal of the appeal, the petitioner is directed to place of copy of this order before the Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Assam, Department of School Education, within a period of 15(fifteen) days from today. The Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Assam, Department of School Education, on receipt of the copies of the appeals preferred by the petitioner, shall without delay place the same before the Appellate Authority. 8.
