UKHC010063212018 2026:UHC:6352 SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPMS/920/2018 Vijay Kumar Arora and others --Petitioners Versus The State Of Uttarakhand Through Principal Secretary and others --Respondents Hon'ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. There is no representation for the petitioners. 2. Mr. Devendra Pant, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioners were issued permits by Transport Department to ply three wheeler passenger vehicles on a particular route in District Dehradun. The permits issued to them were valid only for five years. 4. Petitioners want their permit to be renewed, however, Regional Transport Authority has taken a decision not to renew permits for diesel operated Tempo Vikrams, which are more than seven years old. 5. Since the vehicles owned by petitioners are more than ten years old, therefore, petitioners have challenged the decision taken by Regional Transport Authority. 6. This Court is not inclined to interfere with the decision taken by the Regional Transport Authority, as the said decision was taken in public interest, pursuant to UKHC010063212018 2026:UHC:6352 order passed by this Court in a writ petition. 7. Thus, there is no scope for interference. The writ petition fails and is dismissed. No order as to costs. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 24.07.2026 Navin
