As per the facts projected, the petitioner was settled with the Mahaltali Fishery in the district of Sribhumi for a period of 3 years from 01.11.2022 to 31.10.2025. It is contended that the demarcation of the Fishery was not done properly and therefore, a direction be issued for such demarcation. There is also a prayer for extending the settlement. Also heard Ms. U. Das, learned State Counsel, who has opposed the prayer and has submitted that no legal right of any nature has been violated. This Court is of the view that the settlement having expired in October, 2025, the principal prayer for making a demarcation will be a futile exercise. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she may be allowed to withdraw the writ petition. Writ petition accordingly stands dismissed on withdrawal. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
