This is an application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 praying for the grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, namely, Pradip Baishya in connection with Sualkuchi P.S. Case No. 19/2026 under Sections 318(4)/ 316(2)/117(2)/308(2) of BNS, 2023. 3. The petitioner is the Principal of a School, and the allegation against him is that he had issued a fake Class-IX pass certificate in return for Rs. 20,000/- from the concerned student. The FIR has been lodged by a third party namely, Ms. Puja Das. 4. Pursuant to the interim protection granted by this Court the petitioner has appeared before the I.O. and his statement has been recorded. 5. Having regard to the nature of the allegations and the fact that his statement has been recorded, custodial interrogation on the petitioner may not be necessary. Accordingly, prayer for pre-arrest bail is allowed and the order of interim pre-arrest bail dated 11.05.2026 is hereby made absolute, subject to the following condition: (i) that the petitioner shall fully co-operate with the investigation of the case and shall appear before the Investigating Officer as and when required in connection with the investigation of the aforesaid P.S. case.
