This civil miscellaneous petition has been filed for the following reliefs: “That this civil miscellaneous petition is being filed on behalf of the above-named petitioners for issuance of an appropriate order from this Hon'ble Court for payment to the petitioner nos. 1 to 4 of and petitioner no.5 the amount Rs. 2,44,119/-, Rs. 2,07,987/-, Rs. 2,21,248/-, Rs. 2,35,920/- and Rs. 1,15,227.50/- respectively which has been deposited by the opposite party no.2 by demand draft in favour of the Learned Registrar 2026:JHHC:3227 2 General, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi in light of order dated 10.05.2023 passed in the said Contempt Case (Civil) No. 355 of 2023 and accordingly to the said extent the order dated 14.11.2025 passed in Contempt Case (Civil) No. 355 of 2023 may kindly be modified.” 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the contempt proceedings were dropped vide order dated 14.11.2025. So far as Contempt Case (civil) No. 355 of 2023 is concerned, the same was inter alia filed by the legal heirs of Sridhar Singh who was petitioner no. 4 in the writ petition. The learned counsel submits that the sons of widow of Sridhar Singh have no objection if the amount deposited before the learned Registrar General is released in favour of widow of Sridhar Singh namely, Renuka Devi. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the amount has not been released by the office of the learned Registrar General in spite of order dated 14.11.2025 with respect to the other petitioners also. 6. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the LPAs mentioned in paragraph 3 of the order dated 14.11.2025 passed in Cont. Case (Civil) No. 795 of 2022 and analogous cases have all been dismissed. He submits that the petitioners are seeking the release of the amount as the connected LPAs, that is, LPA No. 569 of 2023 and 570 of 2023 have already been dismissed. So far as LPA No. 613 of 2023 is concerned, the same is still pending. 7. From the records of this case and the pleadings, it nowhere appears that the petitioners or the legal heirs of Sridhar Singh had approached the learned Registrar General for release of any amount. 8. Further, it is not in dispute from the side of the opposite parties that the amount has already been deposited before the learned Registrar General. 9. In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that it is for the petitioners to approach the learned Registrar General for release of the amount with their due identity and if the other legal heirs of Sridhar Singh have no objection for release of the amount in the name of the widow of Sridhar Singh namely, Renuka Devi, then an appropriate 2026:JHHC:3227 3 affidavit containing ‘no objection’ to such release is required to be filed before the learned Registrar General. If an appropriate affidavit is filed to the aforesaid effect and the learned Registrar General is otherwise satisfied, the amount relatable to Sridhar Singh be released in favour of Renuka Devi in terms of the earlier order passed by this court. 10.
