The petitioner is an accused in connection with Jogta P.S. Case No. 34/2025. It has been alleged that the petitioner, by concealing his religion, had developed sexual relationship with the informant and when the informant came to know about the real identity of the petitioner, a threatening was given by the petitioner. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the victim was aware about the identity of the petitioner and in such context, he has referred to some screenshots of UPI transactions which reflect the actual name of the petitioner. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 01.11.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. The screenshot of some online transactions has been brought on record from which it appears that a substantial amount has been transferred by the victim to the informant on two occasions which, to a certain extent, substantiate the allegation regarding the informant being blackmailed by the petitioner. In view of such facts and circumstances, I am not -1- inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is hereby rejected at this stage. This application stands rejected. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.)
