THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE H.T. NARENDRA PRASAD ORAL ORDER 1. In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought for the following relief/s: “I. Issue a Writ of Mandamus Directing the Respondent No. 1 to 3 to disburse the Retirement benefits and issue Pension Pay Order (PPO) to the Petitioner by considering his representation dated 14.11.2022, 28.04.2023, 24.05.2023 and 01.09.2025 given by the Petitioner as per ANNEXURE- A, A1, A2 & A3 and commence the payment of Monthly Pension to the Petitioner, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11898 WP No. 29253 of 2025 II. Grant such other relief/s that this Hon'ble Court deems fit to grant, in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the ends of equity and justice.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that he joined as a Daily Rated Employee (DRE) on 19.04.1984 in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru and has served continuously in respondent No.3 Department. Thereafter, his service was regularized as a Group ‘D’ employee by notification dated 14.07.2008 issued by respondent No.2– University. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of Laboratory Assistant on 03.09.2021 and he retired as a Senior Laboratory Assistant on 30.09.2022. Even after lapse of two months from the date of his retirement, his retirement benefits have not been settled. Therefore, he submitted representations dated 14.11.2022, 28.04.2023, 24.05.2023 and 01.09.2025 vide Annexure–A series. The same have not been considered. Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3 submits that the representations submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law, if this Court grants some reasonable time. 4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, the writ petition is disposed of. 5. Respondent Nos.2 and 3 are directed to consider the representations dated 14.11.2022, 28.04.2023, 24.05.2023 and 01.09.2025 vide Annexure-A series, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, not later than two months from date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
