Petitioner has challenged the order dated 05.08.2025 (Annexure No.6 to the petition) whereby petitioner was inflicted with the punishment of reduction of petitioner’s pay to the minimum of existing pay/level for a period of one year. Petitioner has also challenged the order dated 14.10.2026 (Annexure No.8) passed by the Appellate Authority whereby the appeal preferred by petitioner against the punishment order has been rejected. 4. Learned State Counsel, at the outset, raised a preliminary objection that as against the aforesaid impugned orders, remedy of filing revision under Rule 23 of U.P. Subordinate Rank Police Officers (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991, which is still applicable in the State of Uttarakhand, is available to the petitioner. 5. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that since the statutory remedy of filing revision is UKHC010125152026 2026:UHC:6182 available to the petitioner, therefore, he would approach the revisional authority. 6. Accordingly, learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition. 7. Permission granted. 8. Writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to file a revision before the revisional authority. 9. However, it is clarified that if such a revision is filed by petitioner within 10 days from today, the revisional authority shall hear the revision ignoring the delay, if any, occurred in filing of revision.
