In Re : Manoj Kumar & Anr. ... Petitioners.
Mr. Jisan Iqubal Hossain,
... For the Petitioners.
Mr. Md. Adil Badr, Ld. Jr. Govt. Adv., Ms. Rita Dutta,
... For the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been falsely implicated for alleged recovery of 142 Kgs. Ganja. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, submits that the petitioners are driver and khalasi of the said vehicle. It has also been submitted that the Trial has commenced and some of the witnesses have turned hostile. Learned advocate for the State additionally submits that huge quantity of contraband was recovered and the trial of the case is in progress. Prosecution intends to rely upon 15 witnesses in order to prove this case. Be that as it may, at this stage, I am of the view, since the trial is in progress, the petitioners would co-operate for
2 progress of the trial and renew their prayer for bail after 30th June, 2026. At this stage the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1313 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
