Abul Kalaam Azad Government Advocate (Crl.Side) ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the order passed by the 3rd respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 01/ Ka.Aa/ Thiruppuvanam/2026, dated 28.01.2026, to quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the respondents to grant permission and provide necessary police protection to conduct the Kabaddi Tournament on 31.01.2026 and 01.02.2026 at Villiyarendal Playground, Villiyarendal, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2. Mr. A.S. Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), takes notice for the respondents. 3. It is submitted that there was a dispute in an earlier Kabadi match between Villiyarendal and Allinagaram villages. No.519 of 2026 of players from Villiyarendal and Allinagaram villages. In this regard, the petitioner relies upon the notice issued stating that “cs;Sh; tPuh;fs;> mzp kw;Wk; cs;Sh; ngahpy; tpisahl mDkjp ,y;iy”, i.e., Villiyarendal Kabaddi players are not permitted. He further submitted similarly Allinagaram Kabaddi players would also be not permitted. So far as other players are concerned, the impugned order passed by the 3rd respondent dated 28.01.2026 is quashed, and the petitioner is permitted to conduct the Kabadi match on 31.01.2026 as per the time fixed by the respondent Police. 4.
