W.P.(MD) No.2988 of 2026 purpose of providing free house sites to the Adi Dravida people in the village, despite the petitioner having raised an objection to the same. Though the petitioner challenged the said acquisition proceedings by filing a Writ Petition before this Court and initially succeeded, the same was later reversed by a Division Bench of this Court on the ground that the Writ Petition was filed after the award had been passed and house site pattas had been issued to the houseless persons.
Since the award was passed in respect of the said land fixing a meagre amount, the petitioner has not received enhanced compensation. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.04.2023 to the fourth respondent. However, the said representation has not been considered. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2023 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the fourth respondent within a period of sixteen weeks. _____________ Page No. 3 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
