The petitioners’ prayer seeking correction of their status in three portals maintained by the State i.e. UDISE+, I-OSMS and Utsashree is pending consideration. It has been submitted that though UDISE+ portal is the Central Government’s Portal but the same is being maintained by the State authorities. 2. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners refers to the order passed by the Court on 26.07.2022 in WPA 19133 of 2019 + CAN 1 of 2020 (Old CAN 5059 of 2020) + CAN 2 of 2022 [Ranaghat OBR Brihattara Graduate Teachers’ Association & Anr. vs. The State of W.B. & Ors.] wherein the Court directed that the teachers recruited prior to 1st SLST-2016 shall be treated as the teachers of normal section and shall be permitted by the respective school authorities to function accordingly. 3. The petitioners assert that they were recruited prior to 2016 recruitment process and they would be entitled to be treated as teachers of normal section and not as upper primary teachers. 2 4. None appears on behalf of the State respondents despite service of notice. In the absence of proper instruction from the State respondents it is not possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively. 5. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Inspector of Schools to take into consideration the petitioners’ prayer seeking updation of their status in the official portals strictly in accordance with the prevailing guidelines and the law laid down by the Court in the matter of Ranaghat OBR Brihattara Graduate Teachers’ Association & Another (supra) at the earliest by positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representation seeking consideration along with all supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of this Court. 7. The instant writ petition has been filed by two petitioners by depositing only one court fee. Learned Advocate-on-record of the petitioners is directed to deposit the deficit Court fee in respect of one petitioner in course of the day, failing which the order passed herein shall be restricted only in respect of the petitioner no. 1 and the writ petition shall be deemed to have been dismissed in respect of the other. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
