Item- 4. sg 05-03-2026 Ct. 19 WPA 4167 of 2026 Kousik Giri Versus State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Mridul Kanti Sasmal …for the petitioner Mr. Lalit Mohan Mahata, AGP Mr. Ziaul Haque …for the State Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record. The petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondent authorities to remove and withdraw the notice board, which has been affixed on the property of the petitioner, being Dag Nos. 3084 and 3097. However, after going through the documents annexed to this writ petition, this Court finds that the petitioner has submitted a representation before the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Shyampur-I, praying for correction of record of rights. It is further recorded in the representation that upon inquiry, the petitioner has come to know that the plot in question is the vested land and the same has been recorded under khatian no. 1. Since the petitioners have sought for correction of record of rights, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Faced with such situation, the learned Advocate for the petitioner prays for leave to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the appropriate forum. Mr. Mahata, learned Additional Government Pleader appears for the State. However, he does not oppose the prayer of the learned Advocate for the petitioner. In the light of the submission made by the learned Advocate for the petitioner, WPA 4167 of 2026 stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for appropriate reliefs in accordance with law.
