Bordoloi, learned counsel appearing for the applicant/appellant. 2. By way of this application filed under Section 30 of the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, the applicant/appellant has prayed for stay of the operation and execution of the judgment and order dated 22.04.2026 passed by the learned Commissioner, Employees’ Compensation, Kamrup-cum-Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kamrup in W.C. Case No. 35/2018. 3. Having considered the submissions advanced and taking note of the fact that the accompanying appeal has been preferred under Section 30 of the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, this Court is of the view that the ends of justice would be served by granting interim protection, subject however to compliance with the statutory requirement prescribed under the proviso to Section 30(1) of the Act. 4. Accordingly, the operation and execution of the impugned judgment and order dated 22.04.2026 shall remain stayed during the Page No.# 3/3 pendency of the appeal, subject to the appellant depositing the amount payable under the impugned award in terms of the proviso to Section 30(1) of the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, if not already deposited, within a period of 6 (six) weeks from today and producing the certificate of such deposit before the Registry. 5. In the event of failure to comply with the aforesaid condition within the stipulated period, this order shall stand vacated automatically without any further reference to the Court. 6.
