REMAINING BALANCE OF RS. 198.21 IN THE PETITIONER'S ACCOUNT (ACCOUNT NUMBER 256702000000301) AND TO OPERATE THE PETITIONER BANK ACCOUNT.
THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD
ORAL ORDER
The petitioner, an account holder with the first respondent/Bank, seeks direction to mark his account only for the amount in dispute and for leave to operate the account otherwise. Sri Vivek S, the
learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the Bank is in receipt of the communication to mark a sum of Rs.16,305/- and this would be the combined amount as communicated by the Law Enforcement Agencies both in the State of Gujarath and State of West Bengal.

HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10367 WP No. 769 of 2026
It is not in dispute that only such amount as is claimed must be marked for lien and the account should not be frozen denying the benefit of the operation of the account. As such, the petition stands disposed of calling upon the first respondent /Bank to mark "the disputed amount" for lien and permit the petitioner to operate the account otherwise unless there is further communication by any other Law Enforcement Agency.
