Azad, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. I have also heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioners, namely- (1) Khurshed Alom, (2) Mominur Rahman, (3) Shahinur Islam and (4) Atowar Rahman have prayed for releasing them after they were arrested in connection with Kajalgaon P.S. Case No.83 of 2026 under Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021 r/w Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. 3. On 07.06.2026, two vehicles bearing Registration Nos.AS-26 AC-0572 & AS-15- AC-8423 was stopped by police. Both the vehicles were carrying total number of 19 cattle. 4. The cattle were found in a cruel condition without adequate space, ventilation etc. The petitioners were arrested by police. 5. The present petitioners have already spent 16 days in judicial custody. 6. This Court is of the opinion that they no longer deserve to be detained in custody fur any further period of time. Their bail application is allowed. 7. The petitioners, namely- (1) Khurshed Alom, (2) Mominur Rahman, (3) Shahinur Islam and (4) Atowar Rahman who were arrested in connection with Kajalgaon P.S. Case No.83 of 2026 under Section 13(1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021 r/w Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, shall be released on bail of Page No.# 3/3 ₹25,000/- each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chirang, Kajalgaon. With the aforesaid direction, the present bail application is disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
