The petitioner is an accused in connection with Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 94 of 2024 (G.R. No. 528 of 2025). It has been alleged that the petitioner and the daughter of the informant studied together in school and continued with their friendship. The informant proposed marriage of his daughter to the petitioner, but it was refused by the parents of the petitioner who humiliated the informant. When the informant fixed the marriage of his daughter elsewhere, the petitioner in order to prevent the marriage had posted objectionable photos and videos in the group of the school friends. It has also been alleged that the accounts were opened by the petitioner in Whatsapp as well as Instagram by using forged SIM cards and created photos and videos of the informant with the help of artificial intelligence. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is employed as a Computer Engineer and is posted in Bangaluru. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 27.06.2025. He further adds that on completion of investigation charge sheet has been submitted by the police. On consideration of the entire gamut of allegations levelled against the petitioner and the fact that charge sheet has been submitted as well as the period of custody undergone by the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sahibganj in connection with Sahibganj (T) P.S.
