This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary action for removal of garbage thrown in front of Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture and place notice board to prevent further dumbing of garbage. 2.On seeing the photographs produced by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directed the respondents to remove the garbage if any thrown in front of the Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture and report it. 3.Accordingly, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the first and third respondents has produced photographs showing the clearance of the said portion by the local-body staff. The photographs of the said area showing free from garbage and waste thrown around. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has shown a photographs that on the opposite side of the College at the corner where still the residents are 2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(md)No.2890 of 2026 throwing the garbage around the electrical post. 4.We are of the view that to avoid throwing of garbage indiscriminately on the street, it is appropriate to place garbage bin in that place and clean it every day to ensure no spilling of garbage on the street. 5.With this direction, this Writ Petition stands closed. The authorities shall also place a display board advising public to put all the waste in the bin and keep the area free from litter. No costs.
