This is an application under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking bail first Page No.# 2/3 time for accused/petitioner, Nur Alom Ahmed @ Rahul, who was arrested on 15.05.2026. 3. The allegation as contained in the FIR dated 08.03.2026 is that, on 07.03.2026, the Bolero vehicle of the informant was stolen from Uparhali Chowk, Palashbari. 4. In course of investigation, the involvement of the petitioner was found and accordingly, he was arrested. 5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, during the period in question, the petitioner was busy with the treatment of his wife who was undergoing a high risk pregnancy and was admitted in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and therefore, he could not have been involved in the alleged offence. 6. The learned Addl. Public Prosecutor with reference to the Case Diary has submitted that there is sufficient incriminating material against the petitioner and who after stealing the aforesaid vehicle handed it over to another person and the vehicle which is worth several lakhs of rupees has not yet been recovered. Moreover, the petitioner is a habitual offender who was also involved in another case being Basistha P.S. Case No. 290/2025, under Section 305(B) of BNS. Page No.# 3/3 7. Having regard to the above despite the period of length of detention of about 30 days in custody, the prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. 8. The petition is dismissed. 9.
