Petitioner Versus Sudeep Banerjee, son of Sahadev Banerjee, resident of House No.104/A, Timken Colony, Beside Bank Colony, Mango, P.O. & P.S.-Mango, Town-Jamshedpur & District-East Singhbhum .. ... Opp. Party -------- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE PRADEEP KUMAR SRIVASTAVA -------- For the Petitioner : Mr. Kalyan Banerjee, Advocate For the Opp. Party : Mr. Srijit Choudhury, Advocate Mr. Aayush Ojha, Advocate Ms. Tanya Rai, Advocate -------- Order No. 12/ Dated: 04th February, 2026 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned counsel for the opposite party. 2. It appears that the petitioner itself is working at Calcutta and the opposite party is residing at Jamshedpur and he is engaged through work from home. Therefore, there is no reasonable ground to transfer the case from Jamshedpur to Dhanbad, only as per convenience of the petitioner. 3. It also appears that the matter was sent for consideration before the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority which reported unsettled the Original (Matrimonial) Suit No. 756 of 2022, sought for transfer and is also pending at the stage of evidence of opposite party (petitioner herein). 4. Under the aforementioned circumstances, I do not find any reason to transfer of Original (Matrimonial) Suit No. 756 of 2022 from the Court of Principal Judge, Addl. Family Court-II, Jamshedpur, East Singhbhum to Principal Judge, Family Court, Dhanbad. The prayer of the petitioner stands rejected. 5. This petition is dismissed.
