1. None appears on behalf of the private respondents nor is any adjournment prayed for on their behalf.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the CESC Limited in providing a new meter in the common meter room of the subject premises.
3. On behalf of the CESC Limited it is submitted that they have no objection in providing such connection subject to police assistance being granted. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties and the fact that the private respondents chose to be unrepresented. WPA 4921 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to install a new meter in the common meter room of the building in connection after compliance with necessary formalities and including payment of all statutory dues.

4. Liberty is granted to the CESC Limited to avail of police assistance if the circumstances so warrant. The payment for initial police assistance would be borne exclusively by the petitioner.
5. Report filed by the State respondent be kept with the records.
