JUSTICE PARTHIVJYOTI SAIKIA ORDER Date : 22.06.2026 These Bail Applications having arisen out of the same FIR have been taken together for disposal by this common order. 2. Heard Mr. S Munir, Mrs. G Deka and Mr. M Haque, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. Bhasksar Sarma, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 3. These three Bail Applications have been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioners, namely, Manindra Das, Shivram Das, Pranjal Das, Dhiraj Das, Gopeswar Das and Bhupen Das have prayed for releasing them on bail after they were arrested in connection with Sonapur P.S. Case No.25/2026. 4. The deceased was having a lover affair with a girl called Ms. Malabika Das. On 01.04.2026, the deceased went to his village. Some persons including Shivram Das are named in the FIR, who assaulted the deceased on that day, for which he succumbed to his injuries.
During the period of investigation, it was found that the present petitioners are also involved in the said act. 5. The present petitioners, Manindra Das Shivram Das have already spent 81 days in judicial custody and the petitioner Pranjal Das, who is 18 years old, has spent 77 days in judicial custody. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. This Court is of the opinion that considering the length of detention undergone by the petitioners Manindra Das and Shivram Das and Pranjal Das in judicial custody, they deserve to be released on bail. Therefore, their BA No.1507/2026 is allowed. 8. Therefore, it is hereby directed that both the petitioners Manindra Das and Shivram Das shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup (M) at Guwahati. The petitioner Pranjal Das shall also be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with surety of like

This Court is of the opinion that the petitioners Dhiraj Das, Gopeswar Das and Bhupen Das do not deserve to be released on bail. Therefore, their Bail Appln./1640/2026 and Bail Appln./1640/2026 are rejected at this stage. 10. With the aforesaid direction, all the three Bail Applications are disposed of.
