Heard Sri N.V.Sumanth, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader and standing counsel for respondents. 3. The Writ Petition is filed seeking to declare the action of respondent no.2 in not taking any steps for relocation of the slaughter house from the locality of Sanivarapupeta, Eluru Town and District to a APPCB approved slaughter house located at Madepalli, Kaikaluru Road, Eluru Town and District, despite clear and specific recommendations made by the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) after a joint survey, directing urgent closure and relocation of the said slaughter house vide Lr.No.PGRS- 01/APPCB/RO-ELR/2025 dated 01.08.2025 as illegal and arbitrary. 4. 4. While pending the Writ Petition, learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no.2 has placed the instructions of 8 the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Eluru dated 27.6.2026 and according to the said instructions, the slaughterhouse operating at the disputed place was closed by following due procedure as per the applicable provisions of the A.P.Municipal Corporation Act and relevant rules and necessary instructions were issued to prevent any further operation of the slaughterhouse in the disputed premises. The Corporation authorities have also ensured that no slaughter activity is permitted in the said premises and continuously monitoring the same. 5. After notice, respondent nos.6 to 30 has submitted that the slaughterhouse which was running at Sanivarapupeta, Eluru Town and District was closed and the same has been shifted to Madepalli, Kaikaluru Road, Eluru. The said instructions are placed on record. 6. Considering the above submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the authorities of respondent no.2 to 4 to closely monitor the operation of slaughterhouse at the newly shifted place at Madepalli, Kaikaluru Road, Eluru. No costs.
