For Petitioner: Mr.T.V.G.Kartheeban For Respondents: Mr.K.Surendran, Additional Government Pleader ***** https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Writ Petition No. 9261 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to transfer the ownership of the vehicle TN-75-AT-8377 in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. According to the petitioner, he is an auction purchaser of the vehicle more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition from the second respondent finance company. Since the third respondent committed default in repayment of loan to the second respondent, the second respondent had brought the subject vehicle for auction. Since the petitioner has purchased the vehicle through the said auction, the petitioner claims that he is entitled to transfer of ownership of the vehicle in his favour. The petitioner had given a representation on 10.02.2026 to the first respondent for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2026, as stated supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing to the respondents 2 and 3 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation. 5. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 2 and 3 in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 2 and 3 is dispensed with by this Court. 6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2026 seeking for transfer of ownership of the vehicle TN-75-AT-8377 in his favour after giving an opportunity of hearing to the respondents 2 and 3 and after considering their objections, if any, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
