The present appeal takes exception to the judgment passed by the learned Single Judge in CWPOA No.5341 of 2020, titled Paramjeet Singh Vs. The State of Himachal Pradesh and Others, decided on 03.01.2023, wherein the directions as such were to deduct GPF subsrciption from the salary of the petitioner and remit the same to the GPF account of the petitioner allotted by the office of Accountant General by holding that the petitioner was granted benefit of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and since the employee services had been 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 converted into Whole Time Contingent Paid Worker and he was governed by the Contributory Pension Scheme. 2. On 13.10.2025, we had passed the order that whether the present appeal is to be pressed or not, keeping in view the fact that the Old Pension Scheme has been revived. 3. A communication dated 15.01.2026 has been placed on record addressed by the Director of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh that Government vide its letter dated 02.01.2026 has determined the case of the petitioner and consequent upon the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme vide Notification dated 4th May 2023, a fresh GPF Account No.09- 137844 has been allotted in favour of the petitioner. 4. Keeping in view the above, the present appeal has been rendered infructuous. 5. Resultantly, we dismiss the present appeal, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any. (G.S.
