2026:JHHC:5878 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 761 of 2026 ----- Chandan Pandey, son of Aditya Pandey, resident of village Nodiha, P.O. Amjhar, P.S. Mayurhand, District-Chatra. .......... Petitioner -Versus- The State of Jharkhand .......... Opp. Party ----- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH SHANKAR ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Advocate Mr. Virendra Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Arup Kumar Dey, A.P.P. ----- Order No.02 Date: 27.02.2026 1. The petitioner is an accused in the case for the offence registered under Sections 126(2), 118(1), 109 and 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and has not committed any offence as alleged in the F.I.R. It is further submitted that the petitioner has been implicated in the present case due to previous enmity with the informant. Earlier, in a similar case lodged against the petitioner, being Barhi (Padma) P.S. Case No.204 of 2024, he has already been granted regular bail by a Bench of this Court vide order dated 19th February, 2026 passed in B.A. No.11476 of 2025. So far as the present case is concerned, the injury report suggests that the informant sustained lacerated wounds on his head and stomach, and the doctor opined the same to be simple in nature. The petitioner was initially arrested in Barhi (Padma) P.S. Case 2026:JHHC:5878 2 No.204 of 2024 on 21st June, 2025, and was subsequently remanded in the present case as well. Since then he is in judicial custody. Hence, he may be given the privilege of regular bail. 3. Learned A.P.P. opposes the petitioner’s prayer for regular bail. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the materials available on record, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Hazaribag in connection with S.T. Case No.389 of 2025 arising out of Hazaribag Sadar P.S. Case No.455 of 2024. (Rajesh Shankar, J.) 27.02.2026 Rohit/ Uploaded on 27.02.2026
