The applicant is the writ petitioner in the accompanying writ petition, W.P. [C] no. 3220/2026, wherein the applicant-writ petitioner has made a challenge to an Order of disposal dated 15.06.2026 passed by the Chairman, Mayor-in- Council [Appeal], GMC, Guwahati. 3. The instant interlocutory application is preferred by the applicant-writ petitioner seeking impleadment of the following authority :- ‘Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority [GMDA], Represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Page No.# 3/4 3rd Floor, Statefed Building, GMCH Road, Bhangagarh, Guwahati, Assam, PIN – 781005’ -as party-respondent no. 6 in the accompanying writ petition on the premise that the proposed party-respondent is a necessary party in respect of the issues involved in the accompanying writ petition. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the opposite parties have submitted that they have no objection if the application is allowed. 5. Considering the projection made in the instant application, this Court is of the view that for the issues involved in the accompanying writ petition, the proposed party-respondent is a necessary party. Accordingly, the instant interlocutory application stands allowed. 6. The learned counsel for the applicant-writ petitioner is to file amended cause-title in terms of the Notification no. 79 dated 19.06.2023 before the Registry for impleadment of the afore-stated authority as party-respondent no. 6 by tomorrow. 7.
