No.1151 of 2026 The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 49A, 49B, 49C, 50, 51 of Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 amended in 2002 in WLOR.No.18 of 2025 on the file of the respondent, seek anticipatory bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein and other accused are said to have illegally found in possession of elephant ivory for the purpose of sale. Hence, the present complaint. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that some of the tusks were recovered and that the co-accused have already been arrested. He would further submit that the petitioner is A1 and that one of the tusks is in the possession of A1, and hence, he strongly objected to the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.
