Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order. 3. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail. 4. It is the case of the informant that the petitioner along with his parents has set her daughter ablaze deliberately. Earlier also her daughter was beaten by her husband. 5. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and after going through the record, I find that the witnesses have supported the prosecution case at paragraph nos. 7 and 8 of the case diary. Further postmortem report confirms that the death is due to ante mortem burn injuries. The conduct of the petitioner is also in question as he absconded and surrendered before the Court after nearly 7 years of the incident, thus there is high probability that he may abscond after being released. 6. Considering the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in connection with Manatu PS Case No. 53 of 2026:JHHC:4628 2 2017 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 2034 of 2017 (ST No. 269 of 2018), pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge IX, Palamau at Daltonganj stands rejected. 7. Accordingly, this bail application is dismissed.
