Saroja, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, Mrs. L. Shiny, Legal Officer, Social Welfare, respondent No.2 is represented by Longjam Romita, Legal Officer (Finance Department) along with their counsel Mrs. R.K. Emily, learned Deputy Government Advocate. The petitioners have submitted that they were engaged in the Social Welfare Department under various posts on contractual basis since 2016 for about one year and two months. However, they have not been paid their honorarium for the said period. The representative of respondent Nos.1 & 3 submitted that the Social Welfare Department is in the process of paying their honorarium of the petitioners for 6 months. Respondent Nos. 1 & 3 further prayed for giving five months’ time for calculation of their due honorariums and payment of their honorarium for 6(six) months and the said proposal of the respondent is also agreed by the petitioners.
