The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Certiorari to quash the impugned notice dated 30.05.2025 issued by the respondent No.2 vide Annexure-A on several grounds as set out in the Memorandum of the Writ Petition. 3. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the papers with utmost care. 4. The BESCOM authorities issued a communication to the petitioner on 30.05.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was not given an opportunity to place his defence in respect of the notice. Taking note of the grievance, the communication is treated as a show cause notice and the petitioner is at liberty to submit a reply to the show cause notice for redressal of his grievance. 6. The petitioner is permitted to submit his reply within four weeks from the receipt of certified copy of this order. After the receipt of the reply, the authority concerned is directed to consider the reply and act in accordance with the law. Needless to say that the power connection shall not be disconnected till the consideration of the reply that would be submitted by the petitioner.
