GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following order: Heard Sri S.Lakshmi Prameela, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Education appearing for the respondents. 2. The grievance of the petitioners in the instant writ petition is against the action of the respondents in failing to implement the recommendation dated 17.06.2025 of respondent No.2 for sanction of a Government Junior College at S.Rayavaram Village and Mandal, Payakaraopeta Assembly Constituency, Anakapalli District. 3 3. It is stated that S. Rayavaram Village is the administrative centre of the Mandal, being centrally located and accessible to a large number of surrounding villages, the absence of a Junior College in the Mandal is preventing students from the neighbouring villages from pursuing Higher Education. On account of the same, several students are being deprived of the opportunity to pursue their education. 4. The petitioners submitted a representation dated 24.07.2026 to the 2nd and 3rd respondents. Pursuant to the said representation, the 3rd respondent, recommended the grant of permission after calling for a report from the DEO for establishment of a Government Junior College. It is further stated that a proposal for establishment of a Government College in the Mandal was submitted to the Directorate of Intermediate Education. The said proposal was forwarded on 17.06.2025. However, as no further orders have been passed on the said proposal, the petitioners have approached this Court by way of instant writ petition. 5. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Education appearing for the respondents has placed before the Court a copy of the written instructions received from the 2nd respondent dated 10.08.2026. A perusal of the same would reflect that pursuant to the said proposal, Government vide memo dated 30.07.2025 has called for a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for construction of a college building for Junior College for Girls at S.Rayavaram, Payakaraopeta. Accordingly, the D.I.E.O, Anakapalli was directed to submit the D.P.R. The 4 Executive Engineer has submitted the D.P.R. directly to the Commissioner, Samagra Siksha, Vijayawada and the said proposals are under active consideration. 6. Having regard to the contentions advanced, since the 2nd and 3rd respondents have already submitted proposals and the same are pending consideration before the 1st respondent, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders on the proposals submitted by the 2nd respondent vide proceedings dated 17.06.2025, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
