By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 334/2018, registered at Police Station Begumpur, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323/341/354/354B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter ‘IPC') and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties. The petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 4 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned Police Station Begumpur, Delhi. 6. Brief facts of the case are that on 19.06.2018, an altercation had taken place between the parties, who are neighbours, which resulted in registration of the present FIR against the petitioners under the relevant Sections. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 08.05.2026. It is also stated that the cross-FIR bearing no. 331/2018 registered in the present case has already stands quashed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide its Judgment dated 28.01.2026. 7. On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 4, who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9. Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 334/2018, registered at Police Station Begumpur, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323/341/354/354B/34 of the IPC and all consequential proceedings This is a digitally signed order.
