Also heard Mr. A Chakraborty, learned Government Advocate for the respondent Nos. 1 to 4; Ms. S Dey, learned counsel for the respondent No. 7 as well as Mr. R Boro, learned counsel for the respondent No. 8. 2. By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner is seeking family pension benefits on the ground that she is the unmarried daughter of late Mohan Ch. Hazarika who worked as leading fireman in the Department of Fire & Emergency Service, Assam and died while in service on 22.12.1993. Though upon the expiry of her father, her mother received family pension, however, since her mother has also in the meantime expired, she being an unmarried daughter and a dependent upon her mother, seeks release of such family pension in terms of the letter dated 07.10.2022 Page No.# 3/4 issued by the Accountant General (A&E), Assam, Maidamgaon, Beltola, Guwahati. 3. When the matter was taken up today, Mr. R. Boro, learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 8, placed before the Court a communication dated 11.06.2026 issued by the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Assam, and submitted that the Family Pension Payment Order (FPPO) has already been issued in favour of the petitioner. 4. The communication dated 11.06.2026 issued by the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Assam, indicates that FPPO No. 918422341442 has been issued in favour of the petitioner, Miss Aradhana Hazarika, being the unmarried dependent daughter of late Mohan Ch. Hazarika, Ex-Leading Fireman, providing for payment of normal family pension at the rate of Rs. 7,400/- per month. 5. The aforesaid communication dated 11.06.2026 is taken on record and marked as Exhibit ‘X’. 6. In view of the issuance of the Family Pension Payment Order in favour of the petitioner, the principal grievance raised in the present writ petition stands redressed and nothing further survives for adjudication. 7. Let a copy of the communication dated 11.06.2026 be furnished to Ms. S. Dey, learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 7, during the course of the day. 8. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 7, namely, the Assistant General Manager, Centralized Pension Processing Centre, Lokhra Chariali, Guwahati, to ensure disbursement of family pension to the petitioner in terms of the communication dated 11.06.2026 issued by the Senior Accounts Officer, Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Assam, within a period of three weeks from today. 9.
